What should a client look for when selecting a professional makeup + hair artist?

Ultimately you should book the person that you feel the most connected to, who can best translate your vision. You will find that pricing varies widely and is based on an artist’s background, level of experience, education and product lines carried in their kits. You should consider an artist who is licensed, insured, specializes in their craft and practices safe sanitation.

What's included in your services?

You can expect customized photo-friendly, long-lasting makeup + hair applications, as well as personalized amenities such as mini facials and skin care preparation, custom faux lashes, veil and/or hairpiece placement, wardrobe styling and touch up kits with every service. Bridal trial sessions are also included and the convenience of having your artist on-location.

We are more than happy to stay throughout photos or the entire event for touch-ups.

Is a wedding trial required?

It is highly recommend however not required, that wedding clients schedule a trial. A trial session is the perfect way for us to meet and to preview your desired makeup + hair looks and it ensures that both are a good fit for your special day. A trial also allows for a much faster, more relaxed application and experience the day-of your event, as we will already have your desired look documented. Please note that booking a trial alone does not reserve your wedding date.

What brands do you use in your kit?

Some of the brands I love include Cozzette, Danessa Myricks, Marc Jacobs, Dior, Tacha, Charlotte Tilbury, Yves Saint Laurent, Makeup Forever, Bobbi Brown, Jeffery Star, Laura Mercier, Hourglass, NARS, Urban Decay, M.A.C., Lancôme, Fenty Beauty and more. Our lead hairstylist Dana’s kit is stocked full of products from expert brands such as L’Anza, Redken and Kerastase to name a few.  We use only use the highest quality, professional products in our kits that have been designed for HD photography, TV and video.

Will I still look and feel like myself?

Of course, I am here to make sure that you feel good and still look like yourself both in person and on camera. Most of us don’t wear much, if any makeup on a regular day and so the application is really customized to what each client specifically wants. I can apply as little or as much makeup as you feel comfortable with and the end result will be a look that perfectly matches your style. Know that the application you need for photos & media is not the same as everyday makeup + hair, because your makeup will look a little different in person than it will on camera. Ultimately I want to create and deliver an expertise and results that are authentic to who you are.

Do you have a studio?

Yes we have a beautiful studio in Sonoma County where you can come and relax, we also offer all makeup and hair services on location. The majority of our brides request us to be on site for the trial and event and we always love getting out and exploring new venues and places.

Do you travel?

Absolutely, yes!  We have our passports ready and love traveling both domestically and international with our destination brides.

What do you do when you aren’t providing makeup + hair services?

When I am not working on-location, taking workshops, cleaning brushes or researching new products to add to my kit, I am creating new photo-shoot concepts or at the studio blowing and fussing glass. I like to always be doing something creative and I love that my passion for art and wanting people to feel good has manifested itself in the way that it has. I couldn’t ask for a better was to spend my life than to help you feel special and beautiful.

Where are you located?

I am a full time on-location makeup + hair artist living in the Napa Valley- Sonoma County, California.
